WhatsApp, which is operated by Facebook, has made it easier to locate a COVID-19 vaccine center near you. Several tech giants, including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, among others, have come forward in recent weeks to announce new programmes to aid people affected by the current pandemic, and WhatsApp has now been added to the list. WhatsApp is reportedly testing a Disappearing Messages feature for personal and group chats with a 24-hour option.
WhatsApp's CEO, 'Will Cathart,' recently announced on Twitter that the company has been collaborating with health partners to develop chatbots to assist helplines on WhatsApp. To combat Coronavirus, the messaging app has launched a new chatbot, MyGov Corona Helpdesk, that can help users find the nearest COVID-19 vaccine centre. This chatbot will now show the location of the nearest COVID-19 vaccination clinic. The chatbot was first unveiled earlier this year, when the pandemic struck for the first time.
Here's how to use WhatsApp to locate a nearby Coronavirus vaccine centre.
WhatsApp is a messaging app that allows you
1. To begin, save the +919013151515 number from the MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot to your smartphone.
2. Go to WhatsApp, locate the chatbot number in your contact list, press it, and enter 'Namaste.'
3. Your Pincode will be requested by the automated response.
4. After you enter your Pincode, the chatbot will give you a list of vaccine centres in your region.
If you don't want to save the chatbot's phone number, go to wa.me/919013151515, which will take you to the chatbot. In addition, you can use the CoWIN portal, the Aarogya Setu app, Google Maps, and other resources to locate a Coronavirus vaccine centre near you.
